Electrical Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Science
The position is situated in the Department of Software Technology (ST), specifically in the Software Engineering research group. ST is one of the leading Dutch departments in research and academic education in computer science, employing over 100 people. The ST Department is responsible for a large part of the curriculum of the bachelor’s and master’s programmes in Computer Science as well as the master’s programme in Embedded Systems. The inspiration for its research topics is largely derived from technical ICT problems in industry and society related to large-scale distributed processing, embedded systems, programming productivity, and web-based information analysis.
The research of the Software Engineering Group focuses on empirical research, conducted in close collaboration with software development practice. Topics of interest include software testing, software architecture, end user programming, modern code review, and collaborative and distributed software development. We conduct our research in mixed teams in collaboration with practitioners and international researchers. Courses we teach include programming, software engineering, testing, software architecture, globally distributed software engineering, and mining software repositories. The group employs approximately 25 people, including full, Associate, and Assistant Professors, post-docs, and PhD students. The group is led by Prof. Arie van Deursen. www.se.ewi.tudelft.nl/
